Search

The Search tab lets you find any movie, TV show, or person in the TMDB catalogue — the same database your Seerr server uses.

  1. Tap the Search tab in the bottom navigation bar
  2. Tap the search bar at the top of the screen and start typing
  3. Results appear automatically as you type — there is a 300ms debounce so the app does not fire a request on every keystroke

Below the search bar, filter chips let you narrow results by type:

FilterShows
AllMovies, TV shows, and people
MoviesMovies only
TV ShowsTV shows only
PeopleCast, crew, and other people

Tap a filter chip to apply it. The search results update immediately.

  • Movies and TV shows — show the poster image, title, year, and a status badge if the title has been requested or is in your library
  • People — show a circular profile photo, name, and their known-for department (e.g. Acting, Directing)

Tap any movie or TV show result to open the detail screen where you can view more information and make a request.

Tap a person result to view their filmography (if supported by your server version).

Search results load a page at a time. As you scroll toward the bottom of the results list, the next page loads automatically. There is no pagination button — just keep scrolling.

If your search returns no results, a message will be shown indicating the search term found nothing. Try different keywords, check your spelling, or switch to a different filter (e.g. search All instead of Movies).

  • Search by title, partial title, or actor name
  • If you are looking for a specific movie in a franchise, include the year in your search
  • Switching between filter chips does not clear your search query — the same term is searched against the new filter
